Speed and Strike Presents: Totally Fucked Up
Join Speed + Strike one last time (for this cycle of Araki films) at Cultplex for the beginning and for us the finale, dubbed as teen angst in 15 random celluloid fragments, this is Gregg Araki's TOTALLY F***ED UP.
Following, in true Araki style, gay and alienated teenagers, four gay men and two lesbians, who've formed in their own way a familial unit as they traverse LA. Almost episodic in ways and deeply moving this film is one of Araki's loosest and harkens more to the French New Wave than it does New Queer Cinema; Araki's Masculin Féminin.
As the original poster proclaims, this film also has ANOTHER stacked soundtrack: Ministry, This Mortal Coil, Red House Painters, Coil, Ride, Jesus and Mary Chain, Unrest, The Wolfgang Press, just an insanely stacked soundtrack.
Once again if you enjoyed the previous Araki screenings you won't want to miss this one and it is SURE to sell out again!
All of our screenings are 18+ unless otherwise stated, and the film start time is as advertised above.
