Chronically Online: A Personal History of the UK Internet + Q&A
'Chronically Online: A Personal History of the UK Internet' is coming to Cultplex in Manchester on September 24th!
The Creative Nonfiction Film Weekend's (CNFW) one-night-only touring programme of digital delights on the big screen showcases the stories Britain tells about itself through the internet.
Touring Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, and Lewes, this programme of vlogs, memes, and uncategorisable curiosities will never be the same twice — as unpredictable as a social media scroll.
CNFW have gathered a group of chronically online curators in each city to lead us down their own favourite rabbit holes, shaping the programme around their own sense of local identity. For this screening, they’re teaming up with Manchester’s own Fumetti Funnies.
Chronically Online: A Personal History of the UK Internet is part of Rip it Up, the BFI Film Audience Network’s UK-wide film season exploring and celebrating the changing face of youth rebellion, culture and expression, made possible by National Lottery funding.
All of our screenings are 18+ unless otherwise stated, and the event start time is as advertised above.
