There’ll be a look at the political disillusionment of 1970s USA, and how that led to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Jaws and The Hills have Eyes. Environmental horror and climate panic will be explored, from Picnic at Hanging Rock to Outwaters. The Giallo/Slasher cycle comes next, from Torso to Friday the 13th and Sleepaway Camp, and it’s penchant for copious summer nudity. There’s a look at Folk Horror, from The Wicker Man to Midsommar and beyond, and then finish off by revealing the country that has always celebrated Summerween, going back hundreds of years!
