CULTPLEX is super excited to be presenting a 40th anniversary screening of the sci-fi/fantasy epic Highlander in 4K!
With its sprawling story spanning centuries, sword-and-sorcery spin on science fiction, and legendary soundtrack by Queen, it’s a cornerstone of 80s pop culture in all its glorious, cheesy glory - throw in Sean Connery as an immortal swordsman and location shoots from Manhattan to the Scottish Highlands, and you’ve got yourself a bona fide cult classic that’s still full of life after four decades!
After surviving a wound that should have killed him during a clan battle in the Scottish Highlands in 1536, Connor MacLeod is banished from his village. Years later, he is met by Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez, a swordsman who teaches MacLeod the truth about himself: he is immortal, one of a race of many who can only die when the head is cut from the body. He must fight his way through the centuries until the time of the gathering, when the few immortals who have survived the ages will come together to fight until only one remains.
All of our screenings are 18+ unless otherwise stated, the film starts at the advertised time above.

Harron directs with icy precision, peeling back the layers of toxic ma...
